Compared to the MIT series products, the Megger BM5200 insulation resistance tester has a smaller size and lower price point. It is a portable entry-level insulation resistance tester. The Megger BM5200 is an instrument used to test high-voltage insulation resistance, powered by a battery and displaying both digital and analog signals. It can be used to detect the insulation condition of cables, rotating motors, transformers, switches, and industrial equipment.

The instrument provides 5 voltage test levels, 250V, 500V, 1000V, 2500V, and 5000V. Insulation testing range: 100K Ω to 1000G Ω. After the test is completed, the built-in discharge circuit of the instrument will automatically discharge and display residual voltage. The shielding end can shield the impact of surface leakage current of the test object on insulation testing.

Three insulation testing modes are provided, InS, PI, and t. Press and hold the TEST button for two seconds in InS mode to start the test. After the test is completed, press and hold the TEST button for two seconds to stop the test. PI is the normalization index testing mode, which measures the ratio of insulation resistance at 10 minutes to insulation resistance at 1 minute.

• This insulation resistance tester is lightweight and sturdy.

• Easy to operate and convenient for voltage selection.

• Can be used to test AC or DC voltage

• Quick start and full operation guidance

• User defined IR testing time, default to 1 minute, can be set to a large testing time of 19 minutes and 50 seconds.
